The New Disney Star is... You! Oct 31st, 2008
Ever dreamed that you were in your favorite Disney show singing that amazing song? Now you can! Disney has released a karaoke game called “Disney Sing it” on X-Box, Playstation 2 and 3 and Wii. The game features songs from some of your favorite Disney shows including Camp Rock Hannah Montana and of course everyone’s favorites, HSM. The game has different ways to compete, including duets, and team performances, and after you perform, you’ll hear from Kelsi – HSM – who will give you the vocal tips you need to step up your game. The game is available now, so go and get it!

Could it really be?! Yes it is! The Beatles are releasing a new video game! Up until this point the Beatles have not allowed their music to be featured on any video games! It’s being made by the same people at MTV who created “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band”, however this game has nothing to do with either of those games! This game will allow the player to journey through the Beatles career and will allow them to see the Beatle’s music in a whole new way! No word yet on what songs will be on the game! Although this game has nothing to do with “Rock Band”, it will be compatible with the instruments used to play “Rock Band”! Looks like we’ll be able to get it by next year around the holiday season! “The Witches of Waverly” is on its way to the big screen! Selena Gomez talked about how the movie will be shot in New York! She also mentioned that in the movie a huge secret will probably reveal a big secret! She’s also mentioned some guest appearances including former disney alumn Shia Labeouf that could possibly appear not only in the movie but also in the TV show! Guess you’re going to just have to stick around and wait to see what happens!

That is… Only if Guns N’ Roses finally releases their album “Chinese Democracy”. The album has been in the making for years, and had other release dates before, but has never made it to the store shelves! So, Dr. Pepper decided to give them a reason to get it out! Dr. Pepper has promised “Everyone in America” free Dr. Pepper if the album is released sometime before the end of the 2008! So far the release date is set for November 23rd 2008! Cross your fingers!

Iron Man is coming back for more! Robert Downey Jr. has signed on to make not one, but two more Iron man movies! He has also signed on to do “The Avengers” Movie! It has also been confirmed that Don Cheadle will take over the role of Col. James ‘Rhodney’ Rhodes, who was played by Terrence Howard in the first Iron Man movie! “I like to Move it, Move it”! The premiere of Madagascar 2: Escape 2 Africa was this Sunday in Los Angeles! It was a family day for everyone! Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith were there with two of their kids, Tony Braxton was there with her family too! All of your favorite voices from the first “Madagascar” were there as well, including Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer and Chris Rock! The official release date is set for November 7th, 2008! Take a family day and go and enjoy it together!

Down but not out! Dancing with the Stars’ Julianne Hough will be having surgery today to have her appendix removed. Last week she was in the hospital complaining about pains in her stomach. She said last night on “Dancing with the Stars” that it was a minor sugery and that she would hopefully be back next week! As for Cody Linley, if he’s not eliminated tonight (which he won’t be because we all voted for him, right?!) then he will be dancing with Edyta Sliwinska, who we saw earlier this season with comedian Jeffry Ross! Hopefully Julianne will be able to come back next week so that the dynamic duo can win this thing!

What do you get when you combine two of your favorite musical acts? Heaven! Miley Cyrus and her older brother Trace Cyrus are teaming up to do a song together! Trace said that it’s a little bit more edgy than we’ve heard Miley do before, but they can’t wait for it to be released! The song is called “Hovering” and it will be on Miley’s CD “Breakout” when they release the platinum edition! The new CD is set to be released on November 18th. Can you say, The best of both worlds?!

This past Sunday, Camp Ronald McDonald had their 16th annual Halloween Carnival on the back lot at Universal Studios! Camp Ronald McDonald is an organization that works with the Ronald McDonald House, and they use the proceeds of the event to send children with cancer and their families to a camp that is completely run by volunteers! The even had a turn out of a ton of your favorite young stars! Everyone from Cole and Dylan Sprouse to Adam Gregory, and Emily Osment to Jennette McCurdy! The show is about taking a country artist and having them perform with a band who has a completely different style of music! Uh Oh! Someone hacked into Miley Cyrus’ email account and stole a bunch of stuff! Thankfully the FBI were able to catch the guy that did it! Josh Holly, Miley's hacker, said that he acted like a Myspace administrator to get the information needed to get into her email account! That just shows that anything we put online is not safe! Luckily, the FBI took away his computers, so hopefully now he won’t be able to do it again! Let this be a lesson guys and gals, don’t put anything personal anywhere on the internet! On MTV’s "Making The Band" finale, Diddy thought it was a good idea for D. Woods and Aubrey O’Day to leave the group Danity Kane. The reasoning for the split is that Diddy didn’t feel like these two girls were giving the band a good image. While most fans are upset with the split, a lot are still willing to give the remaining three members a shot! All of us here at KEWL are looking forward to the future of Danity Kane, and wish All members - past and present - the best of luck!!

Taylor Swift and the Jonas Brothers are set to play at Rodeo Houston in March of ’09! Rodeo Houston is a competition for Cowboys and Cowgirls to compete in events to win up to $1.3 Million. Then in the midst of it all, they put on amazing concerts! This year will be the first year that the Jonas Brothers will be there, and will be the first year that Taylor Swift will be a headliner! Captain Zac Efron?Oct 21, 2008  More Zac movie news! A London news source is reporting that Zac Efron has signed on to be in the next pirates of the Caribbean movie! Along with doing the pirates movie for Disney, there is also talk that there will be an HSM4! We just can’t get enough! The movie is expected to be in the theaters in 2010, but luckily we’ll be able to get our Zac fix with all of his up-coming movies!

And The Grammy Goes to..  Oct 17, 2008 The Grammy Goes to… every year is the same thing! This time around The Grammy's are kicking it up a notch by making the announcement for the nominees a little more exciting. Instead of the same old boring "and the nominees are…" speeches, they're taking it to prime time television. The announcement will be featured as an hour long TV special with live performances from the last year's winner. For the most part, Anne has moved on to more grown up roles, and this may be no different. This time around she won’t be the young star, but instead has signed on to play The White Queen! Tim Burton’s fairytale visions are not always squeaky clean…in fact, they’re usually pretty dark and can involve large amounts of blood. Can you imagine what Johnny Depp could do with the role of the Mad Hatter?!? Can’t wait!

This celebrity jammed charity will all take place at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada this Friday, October 17th. As a benefit for Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, the show will be titled, “Justin Timberlake and Friends”. Our favorite politically aware rockers have moved back the release date of their album for…political reasons. Originally, their upcoming album, Folie a Deux, was meant to be released on election day – November 4th. But as the election has been unfolding, the band felt that this election is not something to play around with. To give the day its full respect, they’ve moved their street date back to December 16th – still in time for gift giving, but far, far away from election time. As a good faith gesture to their fans, the guys have promised an economy appropriate extended pre-order campaign and a series of small club gigs around the US during the month of November, with tickets only available day of to best reach the real fans. Their kicking off their fall US Tour on October 24th in Orlando, FL at the world famous House of Blues, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store! It’s a short tour this time, and since the guys have been going non-stop for about two years now, they might be in need of a little break for the upcoming holidays! The former Destiny’s Child member Beyonce, has done it again. Beyonce’s third album will be in stores on November 18 but the single came out this morning! “If I were A Boy” premiered on KIIS-FM, an L.A. based radio station. The song talks about how it would be if she were a guy and the way she would treat a girl. Although there are no reviews yet, we expect it to be great. Get Well Soon!  Oct. 8, 2008 Travis Barker (left), the former Blink 182 drummer is happy to be alive today after surviving a deadly plane crash. Travis and his buddy DJ A.M. were the only survivors after the plane hit on September 19th. Barker suffered second and third degree burns and has gone through many surgeries since. Twilight Soundtrack
Oct 7, 2008 It’s not available yet, but the tracklist is out, and there’s a big surprise on it: One of the tracks on it is by Robert Pattinson! The beautiful actor can sing too! May the swoon begin! The whole soundtrack sounds pretty hard core, which is kind of fitting for a vampire romance, but we’re sure there a are a few slow songs as well…hopefully Rob’s song is one of them! You can look for Paramore, Perry Ferrell, Collective Soul and Carter Burwell as well. It’s available November 4th.

This will be weird: How about a horror movie starring Chace Crawford?!? I’m not so sure he’s a good guy either! The movie is called “The Haunting of Molly Hartley” and it looks pretty scary for the scariest of holiday seasons. And puts all our favorite characters back in the high society world of upper east side private schools…and who doesn’t want more of that? Only this time, the horror is not just of the social embarrassment kind! Can you take it?
Miley's Super Sweet 16 Birthday Bash Oct. 6, 2008
It is no surprise that the Disney princess would choose to celebrate her 16th birthday at none other then "the happiest place on earth", Disneyland. Over 5000 guests joined her in the celebration yesterday, although her birthday isn't until November 23rd. The park was closed especially for her and she gave a stellar performance. There was even an incredible firework display that filled the sky above the famous Sleeping Beauty Castle. If that wasn't enough, Miley's parents surprised her with a very furry gift: a puppy! How cute! Celebrity guests included David Archuleta, Jennie Garth, Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, and Jennifer Love Hewitt. For a measly $250 bucks you could have joined in on the fun too. The Power of Youth  Oct. 6, 2008 This past weekend, Target presented Variety’s Power of Youth event which encourages today’s young stars to get involved for a good cause. The main beneficiary of the event was St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital who has received about $600,000 dollars from the Power of Youth event to date. This year the Jonas Brothers, Miranda Cosgrove and Angus T. Jones were the ambassadors, although not all were able to attend. The event was filled with good food, fun activities such as the Boogie Superstar booth and an exclusive performance from Mitchel Musso! Guests took home a carry- on bag full of goodies and a pair of customized Joe Jeans. Special guests included Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Selena Gomez, Brenda Song, and many more all there to help make a difference.

Not only will the DVD be coming out on November 9th along with a made for DVD sequel, but now a big screen sequel is also officially on its way! Both Jack Black and Angelina Jolie have signed back on, and a release date of summer 2011 set as well! It’s a bummer, we know, but animation this good takes time! Wait for it!

Finally a chance to see David Archuleta again! And on one of our fave shows! David is scheduled to guest star on an upcoming episode of the hit show iCarly, and we can hardly wait. The episode shouldn’t be too far an acting stretch for the teen crooner, as it’s all about a competition called “America Sings” and he plays a contestant. You think he might have a little experience in that department already?!? The American Idol runner-up has been hard at work on his upcoming album after watching the success of his first single “Crush” hit the airwaves this past summer. We’re always up for more David! A Partridge and a Peacock
Oct 2, 2008 It sounds like part of a Christmas carol, but it’s just what happens when NBC (the peacock network) decides to do a remake of the 1970’s hit kid’s TV show “The Partridge Family”. Back in the day, it was the hottest kids and music pairing on TV – a show about a pop rock band made up of all the members of a family, with their mom as the lead singer! Since today’s teen bands are all about the teens, and not so much their parents, this new version of the show will reflect that, and be all about the kids, with their mom in the background. Just about every member of that TV family became a teen idol in their own right – we wonder who the next “Partridge Family” will be!!!

Well, at least that is what a ton of your fave celebs are urging on television spots coming out this week. It’s all what they call “reverse psychology”, and it is supposed to work the same way that your mom telling you what to do does – you do the exact opposite. It’s a clever campaign by the people at DeclareYourself.com, which is a non-partisan group that tries to encourage people to vote in elections. The stars involved include everyone from Leonardo DiCaprio to Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl), to Usher to Esia Morales to Adam Levine to Tobey Maguire to Ellen Degeneres, Halle Berry and Natalie Portman, and many more! Be careful, though…since they’re all grown ups, sometimes the language gets a little ‘grown-up’ as well. You might want to have a parent watch it first – and then really, your work will be done. October 1, 2008 If you followed up with the Olympics this past summer, especially gymnastics you probably already know that the Chinese team was in question whether or not the all of the athletes were old enough to participate. International gymnast rule is that all the participants must be at least sixteen years of age.
