Don't Forget to Eat!

getty_400_01

We know how busy you all get, especially between school, sports, jobs and other activities. What's important is that somewhere between all that, you still remember to eat! Being busy is no excuse for skipping meals. Yes, it will happen occasionally (we're all probably guilty on that one), but don't let it become a habit! Here are some snack ideas to hold you over between meals...

Mixed Nuts are a great snack. They wont go bad, they come in small bags you can throw in your backpack, the protein helps keep you feeling full, and it will give you that salty fix!

Fruit is a great option. It's quick and easy, doesn’t need any preparation and is both sweet and healthy!

Water
is a must! Although it doesn't replace a snack, drinking plenty of water is necessary for your body to function properly and it can help keep you full until you find something to eat. They even have flavored water out there for those of you who like to have a little more going on in your drinks.

Granola Bars are another option. Many of these come with both nuts and fruit mixed in, but beware of the ingredients. Some are healthier than others, so try to avoid those packed with a ton of sugar or "Artificial" ingredients (it will say it on the nutrition facts label on the back) – Read it!

Our main point? You must remember to fuel your body! You will feel better, perform better and generally be in a happier mood, so drink plenty of water and eat up!
