At Home Beauty Treatments!

spa

Here at Kewl we know you deserve to pamper yourself a little every now and then, so we put together a list of home made beauty treatments to get the same fabulous skin, hair and nails without spending your hard earned money.

Face Mask: Everyone should exfoliate (scrub the dead skin cells off) and moisturize their face (even oily skin needs to be hydrated!) So here are some instructions on how to make a face mask at home.

    Ingredients: 1-2 tsp of honey

1/4 cup of oats (not instant)

                      1 egg white

Mix these three ingredients together in a small bowl to get a paste-like texture. Splash some warm water on your face and gently massage this mixture into your skin. The honey will hydrate, the oats will exfoliate and the egg will help lift dirt and oil out of your skin. Leave this mask on for 5 minutes (or until it dries) then gently wash off with warm water. Ta-Da! smooth skin!

Hot Oil Hair Treatment: For those of you with very dry hair, this will work wonders!

Ingredients: 1/4 cup of Olive Oil

(amount depeds on how much hair you have)

Put the oil into a small microwave safe container and heat it up for about a minute to get it warm. Now CAREFULLY (the oil will be hot!) put plastic gloves on to do it by hand OR if you have a paintbrush this works better, dip the brush into the oil and paint oil on ONLY the ends of your hair (if the hair near the top of your head has a lot of breakage put a thin layer there as well). Otherwise putting it on the top half can make hair look greasy. If you have a shower cap put one on and let it sit for 20 minutes. When time is up, hop in the shower and shampoo & condition as usual. It's cheap and easy!

French Manicure: This elegant look is easy to do at home. Heres how:

First rip off a small piece of scotch tape for each finger. Wrap the tape across your finger so that the only part of your nail that is exposed is the longer, white part. Do this for each nail. Next, paint the white tips of each nail by brushing across each nail instead of up. The scotch tape prevents you from getting white polish on the bottom part of your nail. When you're done painting the tips, carefully peel the tape off each finger. Let dry completely. Next take the sheer peach color and paint over the entire nail, including the tips. let dry and enjoy!
